Matthew C. Stoutenburg

Matthew began his career as a financial advisor in 2014 and joined our CFCU Wealth Management team in 2017. During his first year as a consultant, he was the benefactor of a mentorship program working with an advisor with over 35 years of experience serving high net worth clients.

Before becoming a financial advisor, Matthew worked as a teacher and school guidance counselor. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Potsdam. Matthew serves his clients with a heart of a teacher and utilizes his education and experiences to build deep trusting relationship with his clients.

Matthew is a member of the Estate Planning Counsel of Tompkins County as well as the local BNI Chapter – Summit Ithaca. Matthew holds his Series 7, 65, and 63 securities licenses through LPL Financial, life & health insurance licenses.

Personal Bio

Matthew and his family have a long history as New York State residents. His family originally settled in New York in 1667. He moved to the Ithaca area with his wife in 2012. Matthew and his wife have been married for over 10 years, have two children, and a pet cat, Juliet. Matthew is a musician who enjoys singing and playing guitar. He loves relaxing at the beach and annual vacations with his family. Additionally, Matthew serves as a worship leader at his local church.
